How to make Dosakaya Pappu

  1. RINSE AND PEEL RIPE CUCUMBER
  2. REMOVE SEEDS AND CHOP THEM
  3. ADD 1/2 CUP TOOR DAL IN PRESSURE COOKER
  4. RINSE IT THRICE
  5. ADD CHOPPED CUCUMBER
  6. ADD 1 CHOPPED ONION
  7. ADD 2 CHOPPED TOMATOES
  8. ADD 3-4 SLIT GREEN CHILLIES AND REQUIRED WATER
  9. ADD TURMERIC POWDER AND REQUIRED SALT
  10. PRESSURE COOK FOR 5 WHISTLES
  11. ALLOW PRESSURE TO RELEASE NATURALLY. MASH PRESSURE COOKED DAL
  12. ADD OIL IN KADAI. ADD MUSTARD. ALLOW TO CRACK.
  13. ADD 1/2 TSP JEERA AND METHI
  14. ADD AND SAUTE 1 TSP URAD DAL AND 2 RED CHILLIES
  15. SAUTE 10-15 CHOPPED SHALLOTS AND CURRY LEAVES
  16. ADD MASHED DAL
  17. IN A TADKA PAN, ADD OIL AND SAUTE GARLIC CLOVES TILL GOLDEN
  18. ADD TO DAL
  19. TURN OFF FLAME AT THIS STAGE
