Homemade Panipuri/Puchka

Ingredients to make Homemade Panipuri/Puchka

  • Phuchka(raw) - 35 pieces
  • For pani
  • water - 1 l
  • tamarind - 100 gm
  • chilli powder - 1 tspn
  • salt as per taste
  • Black salt - 1/2 tspn
  • coriander leaves - 1/2 cup
  • Jaljeera powder - 1 tspn
  • cumin powder - 1/2 tspn
  • For filling
  • potatoes - 6 medium
  • Chole (optional) - 2 tspn
  • haldi - 1/2 tspn
  • chilli powder - 1/2 tspn
  • onions - 1
  • coriander leaves - 2 tspn
  • oil for frying the phuchkas

How to make Homemade Panipuri/Puchka

  1. DEEP FRY THE PUCHKAS
  2. THEY WILL TAKE THE SHAPE. KEEP THE FLAME MEDIUM
  3. PUCHKAS ARE READY.
  4. KEEP THEM ASIDE
  5. MEANWHILE, SOAK TAMARIND IN HOT WATER.
  6. MASH THEM AND REMOVE THEM. ADD CUMIN POWDER.
  7. ADD JALJEERA POWDER
  8. ADD CHILI POWDER. YOU CAN REPLACE THEM WITH RED CHILI FLAKES.
  9. ADD SALT
  10. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES
  11. MIX WELL
  12. ADD BLACK SALT. PUCHKA PANI IS READY
  13. BOIL POTATOES, PEEL THEM AND MASH THEM
  14. I USED LEFT OVER CHOLE. THIS IS COMPLETELY OPTIONAL.
  15. ADD CHOPPED ONIONS, CORIANDER, GREEN CHILIES
  16. ADD TURMERIC POWDER
  17. ADD CHILI POWDER
  18. ADD SALT
  19. MIX WELL. THE FILLING OF PUCHKA IS READY
  20. NOW WITH A SPOON, MAKE HOLES IN PUCHKA. ADD IN THE FILLING
