ABOUT Fruit bread pudding RECIPE

A delicious pudding made with a combination of bread slices and mixed fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Canned mixed fruits 1 cup
  2. White bread slices 8- 10
  3. Eggs 4
  4. Castor sugar 1/2 cup
  5. Few drops of vanilla essence
  6. Milk 2 cups
  7. Butter 1/4 cup
  8. Pineapple crush 3 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 180 degrees celsius.
  2. In a bowl, add lukewarm milk, sugar, butter and essence. Mix it well together.
  3. Whisk the eggs in a bowl and add the milk while whisking. If there are lumps in this mixture, then strain it.
  4. Cut the bread slices into medium sized pieces.
  5. Arrange some of the bread pieces in a glass baking dish and pour some of the egg mixture on top. Press well so that the bread pieces are soaked in the mixture, add some of the fruits on top.
  6. Repeat the order of layering with the remaining bread pieces, egg mixture, and fruits. Cover with an aluminium foil.
  7. Take a baking tray and fill it with water, place the baking dish on it and put in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 mins.
  8. Apply some pineapple crush on top of it with a brush.
