ABOUT Pineapple Dahi Vada RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup Semolina
  2. 1 cup pineapple (chopped)
  3. ½ tsp ginger paste
  4. ¾ tsp Salt
  5. ¼ tsp baking soda
  6. 2 cup oil for frying
  7. 500 gm curd
  8. ½ cup tamarind chutney
  9. ½ cup green chutney
  10. 1 tsp Salt
  11. ½ tsp red chilli powder
  12. 2 tsp roasted cumin powder

Instructions

  1. In a mixer jar add chopped pineapple and make puree without add water.
  2. In a bowl add semolina and pineapple puree and mix it well.
  3. Add ginger paste and salt mix well.
  4. Keep the batter aside for 15 - 20 minutes to set.
  5. After 15 minutes add baking soda and mix well.
  6. Now heat oil in a wok and make vada.
  7. Flip the vada when it has turned golden brown from one side.
  8. Fry the vada well till golden brown on all sides.
  9. When the vadas are fried slightly drain them out on a plate.
  10. Now take the vadas and put them in a bowl of water.
  11. So that they become soft and fluffy.
  12. The vadas should be soaked well in water so that they are fluffy.
  13. Now squeeze and drain them out from water.
  14. Keep 2 vadas in a pineapple shell.
  15. Whisk the curd well.
  16. Now pour some whisked curd into the vadas.
  17. Pour some tamarind chutney and green chutney.
  18. Now Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder.
  19. Pineapple Dahi vada is ready to serve.
