Ingredients to make Spicy Curry leaves thokku

  • curry leaves 1 bowl
  • tamarind gooseberry size
  • coriander seeds 1 teaspoon
  • pepper 1 teaspoon
  • Red chillies 5
  • garlic pearls 8
  • shallots 8
  • Jageery powder 2 tea spoons
  • Sesame oil 3 tablecspoons
  • salt to taste
  • Mustrad,urad dal and fenugreek fir seasoning
  • Asafoetida powder 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Spicy Curry leaves thokku

  1. WASHED,WIPED CURRY LEAVES 1 BOWL, A GOOSEBERRY SIZE TAMARIND SOAKED IN WATER, FEW SHALLOTS AND GARLIC
  2. IN 2 TEASPOONS OF SESAME OIL FRY 1 TEASPOON DHANIA
  3. 5 RED CHILLIES, 1 TEASPOON PEPPERCORNS
  4. FEW SHALLOTS AND GARLIC , STUR FOR A MINUTE
  5. NOW ADD THE CURRY LEAVRS AND GIVE FEW STIRS
  6. PINCH OF TURMERIC, REQUIRED SALT AND POUR IN THE SOAKED TAMARIND
  7. ONCE COOLED DOWN, GRIND TO PASTE
  8. HEAT A PAN WITH 3 TABLESPOONS OF SESAME OIL
  9. SEASON WITH MUSTARD,URAD DAL, FENUGREEK SEEDS AND ASAFOETIDA
  10. WAIT TILL THEY BECOME BROWN
  11. TRANSFER THE PASTE IN TO THE PAN AND COOK IN MEDIUM FLAME
  12. ADD 2 TEASPOONS OF JAGERRY POWDER AND STIR
  13. WAIT TILL OIL SEPARATES AND SWITCH OFF
