Eggless Whole wheat Savory Aubergine Cake

Ingredients to make Eggless Whole wheat Savory Aubergine Cake

  • Eggplant / Aubergine big 1
  • onion small sized 1 minced
  • salt 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
  • Roasted White sesame seeds 1/2 teaspoon
  • Melted butter ( not hot or warm ) 1 tablespoon
  • baking soda 3/4 teaspoon
  • Baking powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • curd 3 tablespoons
  • buttermilk if required instead of water .

How to make Eggless Whole wheat Savory Aubergine Cake

  1. In a bowl take 100 grams whole wheat flour , 1/4 teaspoon salt .
  2. Add 3/4 teaspoon baking soda .
  3. Add 1/4 teaspoon baking powder.
  4. Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon black pepper powder.
  5. Add 1/2 teaspoon roasted white sesame seeds .
  6. Take 1 big Aubergine . Remove and discard the skin . Grate the Aubergine and add in a bowl .
  7. Add minced 1 small onion .
  8. Add 3 tablespoons yogurt . Mix into a smooth thick stiff batter . Add melted butter 1 tablespoon.
  9. Preheat the cooker / oven for 14 minutes . Bake the cake for 30 minutes in low to medium heat .
  10. Grease the tin before baking . Check with a toothpick whether the cake is baked perfectly.
  11. Bring the cake to room temperature before serving .
