My alltime favorite recipe from mom's kitchen. I love the crispy outside and soft inside chila made of rice flour.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice flour 1 cup
  2. Gram flour 1 tbsp
  3. garlic paste 1 tsp
  4. Green Chilli paste 1 tsp
  5. Corriander leaves chopped 1tbsp
  6. Carom seeds 1 tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil to cook
  9. Water to make batter


  1. Make semi thick batter by adding all the mentioned ingredients and leave the batter for 10 mins.
  2. Heat the tawa and grease with little oil. Now pour 1 serving spoon batter and spread evenly in circular motion to form a thin chilla.
  3. Apply a tsp oil to the sides of chilla. Cover chilla with a lid and let it cook for 2 mins on a low flame. Then remove the lid and flip to the other side and again apply 1 tsp oil.
  4. Check both sides turned golden brown in color.
  5. Enjoy the yummy hot chilla with green chutney or tomato sauce.
