Stuffed Chila

Ingredients to make Stuffed Chila

  • 2 cups moong dal, washed
  • 1 cup rice
  • Ingredients for stuffing:
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 cup soya granules
  • 50 gm beans
  • 1 carrot
  • 1-2 green chillies
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/3 tsp garam masala
  • 1/3 tsp haldi/ turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp pav bhaji masala
  • salt to taste
  • oil to make the chila

How to make Stuffed Chila

  1. Soak the dal and rice for 4-5 hrs then make a smooth and semi-thick batter of it.
  2. Take a non-stick kadai and heat some oil in it. Once the oil is hot, put in the chopped green chillies and onion. Saute till it is pink in color, then add all the finely chopped vegetables, salt and cook till it's soft.
  3. Add the soaked soya granules along with all the masalas, let it cook till it is completely dry and cooked.
  4. Take a non-stick pan and make the the chila from the batter. Then fill it with the stuffing.
  5. Serve them hot with any sauce or dip on the side.

My Tip:

You can add vegetables of your choice such as paneer or try some non-veg stuffing as well.
