Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla

Ingredients to make Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla

  • 1 cup green gram soaked and drained
  • rice 1 tablespoon
  • salt to taste
  • For stuffing
  • onion 2 finely chopped
  • capsicum 1 finely chopped
  • peas 1/2 cup
  • tomato 1 finely chopped
  • Green chili 2 chopped
  • mustard seeds(rai) 1/2 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  • salt to taste
  • oil 2 tablespoon
  • garlic 6-7 cloves
  • curry leaves 6-7

How to make Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla

  1. Grind Moong dal,rice and water to form smooth batter
  2. Add salt and mix well
  3. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds .Add curry leaves then onion,capsicum,peas tomato,garlic turmeric powder, green chilies and salt .Mix well . Cook for 10 minutes
  4. Heat a non stick pan and spread ladle of batter in circular shape. Drizzle oil over edges and top
  5. Put the stuffing in centre of chila and fold it
  6. Serve hot with red and green sauce.
