Savoury Cookies

Ingredients to make Savoury Cookies

  • maida 250 gms
  • Baking powder 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1 tsp
  • Oregano 1 tsp
  • jeera powder 1 tsp
  • egg 1
  • butter 150 gms
  • Milk 1/2 cup

How to make Savoury Cookies

  1. Mix all the dry ingredients and keep aside.
  2. Beat the egg and butter well.
  3. Now add the dry ingredients, except jeera powder and oregano to knead a soft dough. Keep the dough to set in the fridge for about half an hour.
  4. Then knead the dough once again. Now take portions of the dough and roll into a big chapati almost an inch thick.
  5. Sprinkle some jeera powder and oregano on it and roll a little.
  6. Then cut into desired shapes and place them in a greased baking tray. Now brush them with some milk.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.
  8. Let it cool before serving.

My Tip:

You can add pepper powder or chilli flakes as well.
