ABOUT Gol Papdi RECIPE

This is a very old recipe i remember my great grand mom making for us when we were kids.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. half cup sooji Rava
  2. one and half cup whole wheat flour
  3. half cup pure ghee
  4. Half cup jaggery
  5. A pinch cardamom powder
  6. sliced nuts of your choice

Instructions

  1. TAKE 1.5CUPS WHOLE WHEATFLOUR &1/2CUP SUJI & TOAST THEM TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  2. REMOVE IN A PLATE & IN THE SAME KADAI ADD 1/2 CUP PURE GHEE
  3. ADD A PINCH OF ELACHI PWDR
  4. CLOSE THE STOVE & ADD 1/2 CUP JAGGERY
  5. PRESS THE JAGGERY & LET IT MELT
  6. LIKE THIS
  7. ADD 2 TBSP CREAM,CAN USE FRESH MALAI OR KHOYA TOO
  8. MIX
  9. GRADUALLY ADD THE ROASTED FLOUR
  10. MIX
  11. MAKE SURE NO LUMPS R THERE.COOK FOR 5 MINS,WHEN PRESSED WITH SPOON YOU WILL C GHEE,MEANS IT'S DONE
  12. TAKE A GREASED THALI & ADD THE MIXTURE
  13. FLATTEN WITH THE BACK OF A SPATULA
  14. SEAL THE EDGES WELL
  15. ADDNUTS OF UR CHOICE
  16. PRESS THE NUTS
  17. CUT SQUARES,DIAGONALS AS U WISH
