Dahi vada are made in various occasions, from festivals to party. Generally we eat with imli ki chutney but when cooking in large quantity, you can simply sweeten the curd and its done. Easy to serve and delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Urad dal -250 gms
  2. Ginger - 1 tspn
  3. Green chilli -2
  4. Coriander leaves - 4 tspn
  5. Salt
  6. Curd
  7. Sugar
  8. Cumin powder -
  9. Chilli powder -
  10. Pepper powder
  11. Water for soaking dal
  12. Oil for frying
  13. Pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  1. SOAK URAD DAL OVERNIGHT
  2. TRANSFER THE DAL IN MIXER GRINDER
  3. ADD WATER
  4. AND GRIND TO MAKE A FINE PASTE. LET IT SIT FOR 1 HOUR
  5. NOW MIX GINGER, GREEN CHILLI, SALT, CORIANDER LEAVES
  6. DROP A PEA SIZED BATTER IN A BOWL OF WATER TO CHECK WHETHER IT HAS BECOME SOFT
  7. NOW DEEP FRY THEM IN THE FORM OF BALLS
  8. TURN THE SIDE TO COOK ON BOTH SIDES
  9. TAKE THEM OUT AND TRANSFER IN LUKE WARM WATER
  10. NOW TAKE CURD, MIX SUGAR, CUMIN POWDER, CHILLI POWDER
  11. ADD SALT , AND MIX WELL
  12. NOW PRESS THE VADAS LIGHTLY TO TAKE OUT WATER
  13. TRANSFER THE VADAS IN THE CURD MIXTURE
