ABOUT Instant Carrot Halwa RECIPE

Celebrate this diwali with this sweet, creamy and wonderfully aromatic Gajar Ka Halwa, which is made by using khoya, in Instant Pot. Gajar ka halwa is a authentic and evergreen Indian dessert made all over India, that goes well for occasions like festivals, celebrations and parties too! Also, one most important thing I like to share with you all is that, I have prepared it within 10 minutes in instant pot and it came out very well and sweet aromatic and yield a soft mouth melting Halwa. Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Carrots 6 to 7 cups, grated
  2. Sugar 1/2 cup
  3. Khoya / Mawa 1/2 cup
  4. Ghee 2 Tbsp
  5. Raisins 1 tbsp
  6. Milk 1/4 cup
  7. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  8. Almonds 4 to 5
  9. Cashew nuts 8 to 9 number

Instructions

  1. TURN ON INSTANT POT, ADD 2 TBSP GHEE & 6-7 GRATED CARROTS AND SAUTE
  2. COVER AND COOK FOR 2-3 MINS ON SAUTE MODE
  3. ADD 1/4 CUP MILK
  4. CLOSE & SEAL THE PRESSURE VALVE
  5. SET TO MANUAL FOR 5 MINS
  6. ONCE DONE RELEASE PRESSURE MANUALLY
  7. ADD 1/2 CUP SUGAR & 1/2 CUP KHOYA
  8. ADD 1 TSP CARDAMOM POWDER, 1/4 CUP ALMONDS & 1/4 CUP CASHEWS
  9. SET TO SAUTE AND COOK HALWA FOR 3-4 MINS
  10. GARNISH WITH NUTS & SERVE HOT
