ABOUT Easy Coconut Chutney RECIPE

Coconut chutney is a south indian side dish served with most variant idlis, dosa, pongal. Its very popular and common in south indian states. Its very simple just blend coconut coriander green chilli and garlic.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. coconut 1
  2. Green chillies 3-4
  3. Garlic 4
  4. Coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  5. Salt to taste
  6. sugar 1tsp
  7. Water as required
  8. oil 1tbsp
  9. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  10. Curry leaves 7-8
  11. Red Chilli 2

Instructions

  1. ADD 1 CHOPPED COCONUT, 3-4 GREEN CHILLIES TO A MIXER JAR
  2. ADD 4 GARLIC CLOVES, 1/4 CUP CORIANDER LEAVES
  3. ADD SALT TO TASTE, 1 TSP SUGAR
  4. ADD WATER AS REQUIRED, BLEND
  5. GRIND TILL COARSE, ADD MORE WATER, BLEND TILL SMOOTH
  6. CHUTNEY IS READY
  7. HEAT 1 TBSP OIL IN A TADKA PAN
  8. ADD 1/4 TSP MUSTARD SEEDS, LET IT CRACKLE
  9. ADD 7-8 CURRY LEAVES, 2 DRIED RED CHILLIES
  10. ADD THIS TADKA TO CHUTNEY
  11. MIX, STORE IN AN AIR TIGHT JAR IN THE FRIDGE
  12. SERVE THIS CHUTNEY WITH SOFT HOT IDLIS OR DOSAS
