Dahi vada is a popular snack or street food of northern India, usually dahi vadas are a deep fried snack, but this recipe of bread dahi vada makes a perfect easy fat free chat or appetizer recipe where no pre Preparations and deep frying इस needed just wrap the potato filling with bread slices and roast untill crispy. Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 500 gms curd beaten
  2. 250 gms potatos boiled and mashed
  3. 8 bread slices
  4. 2 green chillies
  5. Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  6. 2 tbsp chat masala
  7. 1 tsp corriender powder
  8. Roasted cumin powder 1 /2 tsp
  9. Black salt 1/2 tsp
  10. One cup buttermilk
  11. 1 tsp Ginger paste
  12. A handful corriender leaves chopped
  13. Ghee to fry
  14. 1 tbsp raisins
  15. 1 tbsp chopped cashew
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Green chutney to serve
  18. Meethi chuthey to serve

Instructions

  1. MIX 250 GMS BOILED POTATOES, 2 GREEN CHILLIES, 1 TBSP RAISINS, 1 TSP GINGER PASTE, 1/4 CUP FRESH CORIANDER
  2. ADD 1 TBSP CASHEWS, 1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER, 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER, 2 TBSP CHAT MASALA, SALT
  3. MIX EVERYTHING WELL
  4. SHAPE INTO SMALL BALLS
  5. CUT EDGES FROM 8 BREAD SLICES
  6. SOAK BREAD IN BUTTER MILK, SQUUEZE
  7. PLACE A BALL ON A BREAD SLICE, GATHER ENDS AND ROLL IT UP
  8. PREPARE ALL THE VADAS IN THE SAME WAY
  9. GET THEM READY TO FRY
  10. HEAT 5 TSP OIL IN A NON STICK PAN, PLACE VADAS INTO IT
  11. FRY UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN, FLIP SIDES & COOK
  12. ADD A LITTLE OIL ON THE SIDES
  13. FRY ON MEDIUM HEAT
  14. REMOVE FROM HEAT
  15. SOAK IN BUTTERMILK, PLACE 2 VADAS ON A PLATE
  16. POUR 3-4 TBSP BEATEN CURD ON TOP
  17. ADD 2 TBSP TAMARIND CHUTNEY
  18. ADD 1 TBSP GREEN CHUTNEY
  19. SPRINKLE 1/2 TSP EACH OF ROASTED CUMIN, RED CHILLI POWDERS & ROCK SALT
