ABOUT Chayote Peel Chutney RECIPE

Chayote peel chutney is a special dish for party functions. It's good and tasty accompany with chapatis and roties.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 2 cup Chayote peel
  2. 1 cup grated coconut
  3. 1 green chilli
  4. 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp
  5. 3/4 tsp salt
  6. 1 cup water to cook
  7. 5-6 cloves of garlic
  8. 1 tsp cooking oil
  9. 2 tsp coriander leaves chopped
  10. 1 tsp pepper powder
  11. Pinch of turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. HEAT OIL AND FRY GARLIC TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  2. ADD PEEL OF CHAYOTE AND GREEN CHILLI, SAUTE FOR 2 MINUTES
  3. ADD SALT AND WATER
  4. FOLLOWED BY TAMARIND PULP, TURMERIC POWDER AND CLOSE THE LID TO COOK
  5. CHECK THE COOKNESS, ADD PEPPER POWDER AND COCONUT
  6. AGAIN CLOSE THE LID AND COOK UNTIL WATER COMPLETELY ABSORBED, SWITCH OFF AND ALLOW IT TO COOL
  7. NOW GRIND IT SMOOTHLY WITHOUT WATER
  8. GARNISH WITH CORIANDER LEAVES
