ABOUT Urad Dal Chutney RECIPE

Urad dal chutney is tastes good and it is accompanied with idli, dosa, chapati,roti etc. It's very simple and easy to do for party functions.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Urad dal 2 tsp
  2. Cooking oil 2 tsp
  3. Red chilli 2
  4. tamarind small gooseberry sized
  5. Curry leaves few
  6. turmeric powder a pinch
  7. salt to taste
  8. water
  9. Grated coconut
  10. For tempering....
  11. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  12. Cooking oil 1/2 tsp
  13. Red chilli 1

Instructions

  1. HEAT OIL
  2. ADD URAD DAL AND RED CHILLI
  3. FRY IN LOW FLAME TILL GOLDEN BROWN
  4. ADD TURMERIC POWDER AND IMMEDIATELY SWITCH OFF.
  5. ADD TAMARIND
  6. ADD CURRY LEAVES
  7. TAKE COCONUT AND ADD ROASTED INGREDIENTS
  8. ADD SALT AND WATER
  9. GRIND IT TO A COARSE PASTE
  10. TRANSFER TO A BOWL
  11. HEAT OIL, ADD CHILLI AND SPLUTTER MUSTARD SEEDS, POUR THIS TEMPERING OVER THE CHUTNEY
