Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 850 gms tinda
  2. 250 gms tomatoes
  3. 1 1/2 cup sliced onion
  4. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  5. 1/4 cup oil
  6. 2 tbsp chopped cilantro leaves
  7. Spice mix for tinda..
  8. 1 1/4 tsp garam masala
  9. 2 1/4 tbsp corriender powder
  10. 1 1/2 tsp salt
  11. 2 tsp amchur powder
  12. 1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  14. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. WASH 850GMS TINDAS UNDER RUNNING WATER RUBBING WITH YOUR HANDS.
  2. PEAL OFF ALL THE TINDAS, & SLICE THE TOP & END OFF.
  3. WITH A SHARP KNIFE CUT THE TOP CROSSWISE. MAKE SURE THE CUT DOES NOT CUT THE TINDA INTO PIECES.
  4. IN A BOWL 2TBSP CORRIANDER POWDER,1TBSP RED CHILLI POWDER,1TBSP GARAM MASALA, 2 TSP AMCHUR POWDER
  5. 2 TSP ROASTED CUMIN POWDER, 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER, SALT TO TASTE, 2TBSP FRESH CORIANDER
  6. ADD 2 TSP OIL, MIX ALL THE DRY SPICES WELL.
  7. STUFF ABOUT 3/4 TSP OF SPICE MIX INSIDE THE INSERTIONS MADE ON TINDEY.
  8. PRESS THE SPICE LIKE THIS.
  9. HEAT OIL IN A PAN, ADD 1 1/2 CUP SLICED ONION AND SAUTE TILL SOFT AND TENDER.
  10. ADD 1 TBSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE & COOK FOR 1 MINT.
  11. ADD 250 GMS CHOPPED TOMATOES.
  12. ADD ALL TINDAS TO SKILLET ARRANGE IN ONE LAYER.
  13. COVER WITH LID.
  14. CAREFULLY STIR EVERYTHING TOGETHER.
  15. COVER THE SKILLET AND COOK.
  16. TURN THEM GENTLY WITH A BIG SPOON.
  17. COVER THE SKILLET & COOK UNTILL TINDAS GET DONE & TOMATOES LOOK PULPY & THICK.
  18. CHECK THE TINDA WITH FORK FOR DONENESS. REMOVE FROM HEAT.
  19. GARNISH WITH CILANTRO.
  20. READY TO SERVE.
  21. SERVE HOT.
  22. TAKE A BITE.. YUMMM!!
