ABOUT Rice Halbai RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Dosa rice 1 cup
  2. Grated coconut 1 cup
  3. Jaggery 1 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Water 4 cup
  6. Coconut oil 3/4 cup
  7. Cardamom powder 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. GRIND THE SOAKED RICE ALONG COCONUT
  2. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER
  3. ADD CARDAMOM POWDER AND JAGGERY, CONTINUE GRINDING
  4. GRIND TO A FINE PASTE
  5. HEAT COCONUT OIL 3 TSP, ADD BATTER
  6. ADD SUFFICIENT WATER
  7. KEEP ON STIRRING THE MIXTURE ENSURING NO LUMPS ARE FORMED
  8. IN THE MEANTIME GREASE A TSP OF COCONUT OIL TO A PLATE
  9. KEEP ON STIRRING IN LOW FLAME
  10. ADD 1/4 CUP OF COCONUT OIL WHILE STIRRING THE CONTENT
  11. MIX WELL AND STIR
  12. STIR TILL THE MIXTURE COMES TOGETHER
  13. IT ABSORBED OIL, AGAIN ADD 1/4 CUP OF COCONUT OIL
  14. STIR TILL IT LEAVES THE EDGES AND BOTTOM OF THE PAN
  15. IT STARTED TO LEAVE EXCESS OIL, CHECK ONCE, IT SHOULDN'T STICKY
  16. POUR INTO PLATE
  17. SPREAD EVENLY
  18. REMOVE THE EXCESS OIL, COLLECTED 1/4 CUP OF OIL
  19. AFTER COMPLETE COOL, CUT IN DESIRED SHAPE
  20. HOW NICELY IT COMES, SERVE
