Bhunney Murgh ke Pasandey is a popular Mughlai dish where the chicken is marinated and then cooked with freshly ground spices. This dish is a burst of flavors and can be made for almost any day after all who doesn't love chicken? Serve it brown rice and we are sure you will taste heaven.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 tsp saffron
  2. 1 tbsp water (lukewarm)
  3. 1/2 cup yoghurt
  4. 1/2 cup yoghurt
  5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1 1/4 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  7. 2 tbs lemon juice
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. 2 tbsp ghee
  10. 1/4 tsp black cumin seeds
  11. 2 tbsp besan
  12. 3/4 tsp green cardamom powder
  13. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  14. 1/4 tsp mace powder
  15. 1/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  16. 1/4 tsp kebab chini powder
  17. 1/4 tsp patthar phool powder
  18. 1/4 tsp star anise powder

Instructions

  1. Soak the saffron in a small bowl of lukewarm water
  2. Prepare the marinade by whisking the yogurt and adding all the ingredients.
  3. Heat the ghee in a pan and add the besan and the bhunno until it emits a unique aroma.
  4. Add shahi jeera, marinated chicken, and the bhunno and cook until the chicken is half cooked.
  5. Put the chicken into the skewers and cook both the sides till golden brown.
  6. Serve as a starter with sesame chutney.
