Rice flavoured with mint leaves that tastes awesome. A one pot meal that can be made in a jiffy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled and diced potato 6
  2. Curd 2 cups
  3. Mint leaves 3 cups
  4. Basmati rice 2 cups
  5. Salt
  6. Green chilli paste 2 tsp
  7. Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  8. Jeera 1 tsp
  9. Ghee 2 tbsp
  10. Lemin juice 2 tsp
  11. Garam masala 1 tsp
  12. Kesar milk 2 tsp


  1. Semi cook the rice & drain the extra water ..Remove the rice in perforated vessel
  2. Heat a pan..Add ghee and jeera. Cook till aroma arise,add green chilli paste,ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes
  3. Now add diced booked potatoes,mint leaves n cook for few min...
  4. Finally add garam masala,salt,lemon juice & mix well..
  5. Now off the gas...Once cooled. Add curd & mix well..
  6. Take a big vessel...Add one tbsp ghee and spread one fourth cooked rice
  7. Now spread 2 tbsp potato mint curd curry mixture
  8. Again spread one layer of plain rice
  9. Sprinkle kesar milk
  10. Spread another layer of rice
  11. plate Next layer of curry
  12. Last layer of rice ,kesar milk & curry..
  13. Allow it to cook for 45 min on slow flame.
  14. Ready to serve with raita
