Paneer cheese stuffed aloo kofta with Kaju curry.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 Onions
  2. 2 tbsp Chilli powder
  3. 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  4. 1 tsp dried Methi leaves
  5. 1 tsp Garam masala
  6. 6-7 Cashews
  7. 1 tsp poppy seeds
  8. 2 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  9. 1/2 tsp Sugar
  10. 4 Potatoes
  11. 2 Tomatoes
  12. 2 tbsp Chaat masala
  13. 80 gms Paneer
  14. 2 cubes of Cheese
  15. 5-6 Coriander leaves
  16. 1 Bay leaf
  17. 1/2 Cinnamon sticks
  18. 2 Cloves
  19. 1 small cup of Breadcrumbs
  20. Salt according to taste
  21. 2 tsp Butter


  1. Boil potatoes till they are soft. Peel and keep aside to cool for 2 minutes.
  2. Mash it properly. Add bread crumbs, salt, chat masala, some finely chopped green chilies and finely chopped coriander in it.
  3. Make small balls of it and stuff grated paneer and cheese in it, Koftas are ready. Make sure the koftas are not so soft as we have to deep fry them.
  4. Deep fry these koftas until they are crispy and reddish brown. Keep aside.
  5. Heat 2 tbsp of oil and add bay leaf, 2 cloves, 1/2 cinnamon stick and add chopped onions. Saute them until onions are brown.
  6. Add this mixture (sauted onion and spices), chopped tomatoes, cashews, poppy seeds and grind them in a blender till you get a smooth liquid paste.
  7. In a pan add 1 tsp of butter. Add this paste and saute till it is properly cooked and you begin to get a nice aroma. Add salt in it and 1/2 tsp of sugar and let it cook for 6-7 minutes.
  8. In a serving bowl, add koftas in the curry and garnish with some cream and coriander leaves.
