Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Milk 1 ltr
  2. Sugar 1/4cup
  3. Fine soogi 1/2cup
  4. Milkmaid 3 tbsp
  5. Khoya 50gms
  6. Saffron a pinch
  7. Dry fruits

Instructions

  1. Heat a heavy bottom pan and add milk in it
  2. Let it come to a boil then simmer the flame and let the milk reduce a little.
  3. Next add sugar and condesed milk. Give it a good mix.
  4. Next add soogi little by little and stir immediately to avoid formation of lumps.
  5. Soak khoya in warm milk to dissolve it completely and pass it through a fine sieve .
  6. Add the khoya to the milk mixture and stir well.
  7. Add a few strands of saffron.
  8. Pour the kheer into a matka (earthen pot) and garnish with chopped almonds and pistachios.
  9. Enjoy the delicacy
