  1. Tomatoes 5
  2. Pepper 2 tsp
  3. Jeera 2 tsp
  4. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  5. Hing 1/4 tsp
  6. Rock salt
  7. Crushed garlic 3
  8. Coriander leaves
  9. For tempering
  10. sesame oil
  11. garlic
  12. Jeera
  13. curry leaves

Instructions

  1. ADD 2 TSP PEPPER IN BLENDER
  2. ADD 2 TSP JEERA. BLEND TO FINE POWDER
  3. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC TO PEPPER JEERA POWDER
  4. ADD 1/4 TSP HING. MIX AND SET ASIDE
  5. ADD 5 TOMATOES IN BLENDER
  6. ADD 500 ML WATER AND PREPARE TOMATO JUICE
  7. STRAIN TOMATO JUICE
  8. REMOVE SEEDS
  9. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES
  10. ADD PEPPER JEERA POWDER
  11. ADD REQUIRED ROCK SALT AND MIX WELL
  12. ADD CRUSHED GARLIC (OPTIONAL)
  13. BOIL THE MIXTURE ON MEDIUM FLAME
  14. TURN OFF FLAME WHEN FOAMY LAYER IS FORMED
  15. FOR TEMPERING, HEAT OIL. ADD GARLIC, JEERA AND CURRY LEAVES
  16. ADD SEASONING TO RASAM
  17. PEPPER JEERA RASAM READY!!
  18. SERVE WITH HOT RICE, GHEE AND PAPPAD
