Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Curd 1cup
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 2 tbsp coconut oil
  4. Chopped pumkin 1 cup
  5. 1 pinch Asafetida
  6. For tempering:point_down:
  7. Mustard 1tsp
  8. Urad dal1tsp
  9. 1red chilly
  10. 1 chopped onion
  11. Few curry leaves
  12. For grinding:point_down:
  13. Grated coconut 3tbsp
  14. 1green chilly
  15. Cumin seeds 1/4tsp
  16. For garnish:point_down:
  17. Chopped coriander


  1. Peel the pumpkin skin and cut it.
  2. In a cooker add chopped pumpkin,asafetida, little water and cook for 1 whistle.
  3. Grind,coconut,green chilly,cumin seeds to make a smooth paste and keep it aside.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai add mustard,urad dal,chilly after it stops spluttering add the onion,curry leaves and stir it.
  5. Add cooked pumpkin, ground coconut and cook it till raw smell goes.
  6. After it became cold mix with curd
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve with masala paratha, biryani, pulao,etc...
