ABOUT Ginger and mango pickle RECIPE

Sweet and sour pickle made with ginger and mango has yummy taste goes well with dosa,chapati,poori and pesarattu.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 250 gms ginger
  2. 100 gms raw mango
  3. 6 tbsp red chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  5. 1 tsp methi and jeera roasted powder
  6. 100 gms jaggery
  7. 1 cup sesame oil
  8. Salt as reqd
  9. 1tbsp mixed- mustard seeds,urad dal,channa dal,curry leaves
  10. 5 to 6 garlic cloves
  11. Pinch of hing


  1. Wash the ginger ,remove skin and cut into pieces then dry it.
  2. Fry the ginger pieces in oil for a while remove and garlic also till raw smell goes, dont over fry them.
  3. Add ginger,mangoe,salt,chilli,powder,methi jeera powder,turmeric powder,, jaggery and blend in the mixie jar.
  4. Now take a kadai add the oil,put the seasoning,add curry leaves and now add the paste and mix thoroughly.switch off the stove.
