Cocont patties normally used as farali food in indian cousin. It can made with fresh as well as dry desiccated coconut mixed with cashew nut, dry grapes sime time peanuts also.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated and finely crushed fresh coconut 1/2 cup
  2. Finely chopped coriander 1/2 cup
  3. Chopped cashews 1/4 cup
  4. Chopped dry grapes 1/4 cup
  5. Chilli ginger paste 1 tbs
  6. Sugar 1 tsp
  7. Salt
  8. Lemon juice 1/2 tsp
  9. Boil potatoes 3 big
  10. Corn flour or arrowroot powder 2 tbs
  11. Oil for frying


  1. Mix coconut, coriander, cashews nuts, dry grapes, salt, sugar, chilli ginger paste and lemon.
  2. Mix with spoon and make stuffing ready for patties.
  3. Mix boiled potatoes, salt and corn flour or arrowroot powder.
  4. Mix well and make potato dough ready for outer cover of patties.
  5. Divide the potato dough in small balls.
  6. Take one small potato dough in hand and make a small puri with fingers.
  7. Stuff the coconut stuffing in it.
  8. Cover the all sides and make a small ball shaped Patty. Make all patties like this.
  9. Rub all patties in dry corn flour or arrowroot powder.
  10. Deep fry all patties in hot oil.
  11. Hot sweet and spices coconut patties are ready to serve.
  12. Serve with curd or coriander chutney.
