Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour 1/2 cup
  2. Milk powder 1/2 cup
  3. Luke warm milk 1 cup
  4. Sugar 1 cup
  5. Water 1½ cup
  6. Green food color( homemade) 1 teaspoon
  7. Pan essence 4-6 drops
  8. Fine chopped bettle leaves 4
  9. Pure Ghee 1/2 cup
  10. Silver balls and multicolored shavings for decoration


  1. Sieve the all purpose flour and milk powder
  2. Grind bettel leaves in ½ cup milk and mix it in the rest.
  3. Take all purpose flour in a bowl and add milk powder to it, make a paste using bettel leaf milk and add pan essence and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Take a wok and add sugar and water and stir continusly till the sugar dissolves.
  5. Take a flat pan, and heat pure ghee and low the flame, pour a spoonful of mawa mixture in it, when it's cooked from one side, turn it ti another side and let it cook.
  6. Once cooked, transfer it to the sugar syrup and leave it for 4-5 minutes.
  7. Cook other malpuas with the same method
  8. Garnish with silver balls, edible silver foil, fennel seeds and multicolored balls.
  9. Serve.
