These pita pockets are made of whole wheat .Tasty and healthy

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For Pita Bread : 4 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 3/4 tbsp dry active yeast
  3. 1 tsp sugar 1 tbsp salt
  4. 2 tbsp oiL 1/2 cup warm water
  5. Patties : 2 cup boiled chick peas
  6. 1 cup beetroot grated
  7. 3 boiled potatoes mashed 1 cup bread crumbs
  8. 1 tbsp red chilly powder 1/2 tsp dry mango powder
  9. salt 2 tbsp fresh coriander
  10. For stuffing : Cabbage ( long finely chopped )
  11. Carrot ( long finely chopped )
  12. Funfoods mayonnaise


  1. Take luke warm water add yeast and sugar in it , let it rest for 10 minutes till it froth
  2. Take flour ,mix oil and salt in it ,make a whole in the center and add the yeast mixture
  3. Mix the mixture well in the flour. Now knead a dough with water required. Grease the dough with oil and let it rest for 1 and half hours
  4. The dough will become double and fluffy. After taking out the dough knead it well on the flat surface
  5. Take a portion and roll it long so that it should be 5 inches long and 1/2 inches thick
  6. Take a non stick pan place the roll bread cook from one side for 2 min and another side for 2 min
  7. When the bread is cool down make it half. You will see the pockets inside
  8. For Patties :- Mash all the ingredients and make a flat patties on a non stick pan No oil in it ( if you want add oil )
  9. For veggies:- Take a pan. Add 1 tsp butter. Put it all the veggies and saute for a minute or two
  10. Take half of the pita bread. Spread the mayonnaise inside. Put the patties inside and fill it with veggies around
