Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For litti Wheat flour - 1 cup
  2. Suji/semolina - 50 gms
  3. Carom seeds - a pinch
  4. Onion seeds - a pinch
  5. Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Oil - 1tbsp
  9. Clarified butter - 1 cup
  10. For stuffing
  11. Roasted gram flour/sattu - 100 gms
  12. Finely chopped onion - 2 tbsp
  13. Finely chopped green chilly - 1/4 tsp
  14. Finely chopped garlic cloves - 1/2 tsp
  15. Mustard oil - 1 tbsp
  16. Salt - to taste
  17. Lemon juice - 1 tsp
  18. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  19. Water - 4 tbsp
  20. For chokha
  21. Bharta baingan - 1 large
  22. Tomato - 1
  23. Chopped onion - 1
  24. Chopped green chily - 2
  25. Chopped garlic cloves - 3 - 4
  26. Salt - to taste
  27. Chopped coriander leaves - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. For litti Take a large bowl add wheat flour,semolina,baking powder,carom seeds,onion seeds,salt,turmeric powder and oil and mix well
  2. Make a stiff dough with the help of water.
  3. The texture should be crumbly keep aside for 30 mins.
  4. Take a large bowl add above listed stuffing ingredients and mix well.
  5. Now stuffing is ready
  6. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  7. Stuff the filling in the dough.
  8. Wrap up the dough pieces and close from all sides.
  9. Preheat oven for 10 mins. in 250,c
  10. Grease oven wire with oil.
  11. Place the litti in preheated oven for 5 mins
  12. Flip it over till brown.
  13. Dip in the clarified butter and serve hot. with baingan bharta
  14. For baingan bharta/chokha
  15. Wash and clean the baingan
  16. Stalk trimmed and partially slit into quarters and prick the baingan
  17. Now keep in the microwave safe bowlMicrowave baingan for six mins and tomato for 3 mins
  18. Cool down for some time,remove the skin of the baingan and tomato and mash it
  19. Add green chilly,garlic cloves,coriander leaves,salt and finely chopped onion in the mashed baingan tomato and mix well.
  20. Garnish with coriander leaves
