Litti chokha is famous traditional dish in Bihar.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For outer cover of litti - 2 cup wheat flour
  2. 1/2 spoon carrom seeds
  3. Salt as per taste
  4. 3 spoon ghee
  5. For stuffing - 1 bowl sattu
  6. 1 onion finely chopped
  7. 1 spoon grated ginger - garlic
  8. 2-3 green chilli chopped
  9. 2 spoon chopped coriander leaves
  10. 1/2 spoon carrom seeds
  11. 1/4 spoon onion seds
  12. Salt as per taste
  13. 1/2 lemon juice
  14. 1 spoon pickle masala
  15. For chokha- 2-3 boiled potato
  16. 1 spoon oil
  17. 2 rounded brinjal
  18. 4 tomato
  19. 2-3 green chilli
  20. Salt as per
  21. 1 spoon mustered oil
  22. 1 spoon chopped coriander leaves
  23. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a big bowl put all ingredients of outer cover and mix well.
  2. Kneed the dough properly with water and make midium soft dough.
  3. Cover and keep aside for 10 minutes.
  4. In a mixing bowl put all ingredients of stuffing and mix well.
  5. It seems to dry so add few drops of water in it and mix well.
  6. Now make lemon size balls from dough and make peda from each simply roll it.
  7. Place 2 spoon stuffing on it and closed it and give shape it like litti.
  8. Make all litti same process.
  9. Now heat oil in a pan , fry litti in midium flame.
  10. For chokha - boil the potato and remove the skin.
  11. Roast brinjal and tomato on the gas both sides.
  12. Peel the burnt skin of brinjal and tomatoes.
  13. Mashed potatoes, brinjals and tomatoes .
  14. Add finely chopped onion, green chilli , salt, oil and coriander leaves mix well.
  15. Serve hot.
