ABOUT Rajma Idli RECIPE

A delicious break fast that combines the sumptuousness of idlis with the great taste and goodness of mixed veggies . The idli batter for this recipe is relatively easy to make as you just neet to soak and blend all the ingrediends together and ferment. This batter is steamed with a stuffing of mixed veggies sauted with a simple , traditional tempering, which gives it a super aroma and taste . The softness of the idlis togther with the juiciness and myriad flavours of the veggies make the veg stuffed idlis a really rare and delightful treat.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 3-4 cups of idli batter
  2. 1 cup of red rajma soaked over night in water
  3. 3 tsp of oil
  4. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix the soaked and swollen rajmas in the idli batter . Add salt to taste and mix well, beating lightly with your fingers so that the batter is fluffy .
  2. Grease idli moulds with oil. Place a portion of the rice and rajma mixture into the idli moulds.
  3. Place the idli mould into a steamer for 12-15 minutes till the idlis rise and the rajmas are cooked .
  4. Serve piping hot with gun powder or chilli pickle.
