There are several varieties of chicken and kali mirch chicken is one of the most famous dish the aroma of black pepper in thick cream gravy have its own unique taste.. must try it if you like my recipe

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken 500 gm
  2. Curd 250 gm
  3. Black pepper powder 2 teaspoon
  4. Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Onion 2 big
  6. Cashew paste 1/2 cup
  7. Green chili 6 (slightly cut)
  8. Bay leaf 5
  9. Cream 2 tablespoon
  10. Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  11. Salt according to your taste
  12. Oil 1 cup
  13. Lemon juice 2 teaspoon


  1. Make a onion paste and keep a side
  2. in a big bowl add chicken, curd, salt, lemon juice , 1 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste and 1 tea spoon garam masala mix well and marinate it for 1 hour
  3. heat oil in a pot add onion paste saute till aroma comes
  4. now add green chili and black pepper powder mix it well add little water if required
  5. Now add bay leaf
  6. Now add cashews paste and mix it well saute till oil comes
  7. now add chicken mix well and let them cook till it's become soft.
  8. now saute well till oil comes cooked until chicken become soft and tender
  9. When its become soft and oil comes above add cream in it
  10. Mix it well and keep a thick gravy
  11. Now off the flame and serve hot with roti or paratha
