To me, wastage of food is crime but still it happens to us. So I thought of the dishes which we can made out out of leftovers. This " Chawal Mokhmoli" preparation is also made by leftovers. 100% Tasty & satisfactory.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. FOR KOFTA :
  2. Leftover rice 3 cups
  3. Onion 1 (chopped finely)
  4. Boiled Potato 1
  5. Ginger 2tbsp (chopped finely)
  6. Green chillies 1 tbsp (chopped finely)
  7. Cornflour 3-4 tbsp
  8. Coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped finely)
  9. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Oil for frying
  13. FOR GRAVY:
  14. Oil 4 tbsp
  15. Ghee 1 tsp
  16. cinnamon 1"
  17. Cloves 3-4
  18. Cardamom 3-4
  19. Onion 2 (sliced)
  20. Garlic 2 tbsp (chopped)
  21. Ginger 3 tbsp (chopped/
  22. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  23. Cashew nuts 8-9 nos
  24. Tomato 2 (medium size chopped)
  25. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  26. coriander powder 1 tsp
  27. Kashmiri red Chilli powder 2 tsp
  28. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  29. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  30. Salt to taste
  31. Cream 5-6 tbsp
  32. Coriander leaves 3 tbsp ( chopped)

Instructions

  1. For kofta: In a bowl smashed rice and boiled potato properly.
  2. Mixed all the ingredients nicely to make a dough like texture.
  3. Make small balls from it .
  4. Deep fry in medium heat ,now kofta is ready.
  5. For gravy: In another pan take oil , saute cumin seeds for a while.
  6. Then fry onion, garlic, ginger till it get translucent.
  7. Add chopped tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, Kashmir chilli powder, turmeric powder,salt and fry for few minutes in medium heat.
  8. Now pour some water, close the lid and allow it to cook for about ten minutes.
  9. After ten minutes put off the flame and let it cool down.
  10. Now put the gravy in the mixture grinder and make a smooth paste .
  11. After that heat the same pan , put some ghee,add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and pour the paste .
  12. Allow it to boil ,stir it continuously ,add garam masala powder and keep it in low flame for two to three minutes.
  13. Add cream ,put off the flame and add koftas in hot mokhmoli gravy.
  14. Now garnish with chopped coriander leaves and cream.
  15. Serve hot.
