Multigrain puri made by leftover moogdal khichadi and makki atta, besan, wheat flour, & spices.. Because this is a masala puri also, do you can use in breakfast and evevning snacks with green sauce, red sauce or tea.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 bowl -Leftover moongdal khichadi
  2. 1/2 bowl- makki flour
  3. 1/2 bowl- besan
  4. 1/2 bowl-wheat flour or requirements
  5. 2 green chillies or according to taste chopped
  6. 2 table spoon green coriander (chopped)
  7. 1/4 tea spoon carom seeds
  8. 1/4 tea spoon cumin seeds
  9. 1/4 tea spoon red chilli powder
  10. 1/4 tea spoon turmeric
  11. 1/2 tea spoon salt
  12. 1/2 tea spoon coriander powder
  13. (spices will use less or more according to your taste)
  14. One onion chopped (optional)
  15. Water as per requirement
  16. Oil for frying.


  1. Take a big bowl and mix all dry ingredients in it.
  2. Now add moongdal khichdi in small quantitie and knead dough with it.
  3. Mix all khichdi and knead dough...if khichdi is more than add wheat flour as per requirement and if flour is more than khichdi than use water as per requirement.
  4. Make dough well, khichdi dough looks like ordinary dough and make small size ball. Roll it with rolling pin thin as per your choice. Make all.
  5. Heat enough oil in a frying pan or wok for Frying puri.
  6. Fry all puri one by one until crispy.
  7. Put puri from oil on a kitchen towel.
  8. Serve with chatni.
