Multigrain Khichadi and Veggie Pudalaa

Ingredients to make Multigrain Khichadi and Veggie Pudalaa

  • Khichadi ( leftover / fresh).1 cup
  • besan 3/4 cup
  • Yellow maize flour 1/2 cup
  • wheat flour 1/4 cup
  • jowar flour 1/4 cup
  • Soya flour 1/2 cup
  • Rice flour 1/4 Cup
  • carrot grated 1
  • spinach leaves finely chopped 15 no.
  • tomato finely chopped 1 ( big ).
  • Kasoori methi 1 tbsp
  • curd 2 tsp
  • garlic crushed 1 tsp
  • ginger grated 1 tsp
  • Ajwain 1/2 tsp
  • sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • dhania powder 1 tsp
  • Chill powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masaala 1 tsp
  • salt to taste.
  • oil for shallow frying
  • Pickle masala ( for elders).

How to make Multigrain Khichadi and Veggie Pudalaa

  1. Blend Khichadi in blender.
  2. Add all flours and masala
  3. Add grated Carrot and Spinach too. Add curd and water to make batter
  4. Add 2 tsp hot oil in batter and mix we.
  5. Heat oil in a nonstick griddle. Pour a ladle full of batter. Cover with a lid and let it cook.
  6. Flip over as one side cooks. Apply oil to other side too.
  7. Cook both sides by pressing with spatula. Serve hot with pickle .
  8. Kids can eat it with tomato ketchup or plain with a cup of tea /Coffee.

My Tip:

You can add Pickle masala too while serving to elders.
