Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chana dal 1cup.
  2. Rad chilly powder 1tea spoon .
  3. Turmeric powder 1tea spoon.
  4. Coriander powder 1table spoon.
  5. Ginger_garlic paste 2table spoon .
  6. Onion paste 2table spoon .
  7. Tomato (chopped)1cup.
  8. Curd 1/2cup.
  9. Kasuri methi 1table spoon.
  10. Chopped coriander leaves 1table spoon.
  11. Green chillies 2nos.
  12. Oil 100 ml.
  13. For omellate:
  14. Eggs 2nos.
  15. Red chilly powder 1/2tea spoon.
  16. Chopped onion 1table spoon.
  17. Salt to taste.
  18. Green chillies (chopped)2 nos.
  19. Oil 1table spoon.

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak chana dal in water for one hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan.Add onion paste and fry on low flame till golden.
  3. Add ginger_garlic paste,stir .Add alittle water and cook on low flame for 2minutes .
  4. Add turmeric pwder,red chilly powderand coriander powder.
  5. Cook on low flame till oil separates.If needed add a little water.
  6. Now add chopped tomatoes ,stir and add 1/2cup water.
  7. Add salt .Cover and cook on medium flame till tomatoes are soft.
  8. Add soaked chana dal,stir well.Add 2cups of water and cook on medium flame till 20_25 minutes or till dal is tender.
  9. Meanwhile mix all ingredients of omellate to eggs.Blend.
  10. Heat a pan ,add oil and put egg mixture.
  11. Fold omellate and cut into 4pieces.Keep aside.
  12. Now come to dal curry.When dal is done add blended curd into it.Stir.
  13. Add garam masala powder,mix well .
  14. Cook on low flame till oil separates .
  15. Add omellate pieces.
  16. Garnish with kasoori methi,coriander leaves and green chillies.
  17. Serve with boiled rice.
