ABOUT Mehbooba-e-tamatar RECIPE

This is a dessert dish made out from tomato,mawa and some dry fruits.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Tomato 300gm
  2. Mawa 150gm
  3. Sugar 4 -5tbsp (as per your taste)
  4. Cardamom powder 1/2tbsp
  5. Splitted cashew nuts -3tbsp
  6. Chopped almond and pistachios 4-5tbsp
  7. Ghee 1tbsp
  8. Milk 1/4cup

Instructions

  1. Take tomato and mawa.
  2. Grate the mawa and make fine paste of tomato with the help of z blender.
  3. Strain the juice of the tomato paste and remove the seeds and outer cover of tomato.
  4. Add the milk with the mawa and make a smooth paste of it and keep it aside.
  5. Heat a pan and add ghee into it and then add the tomato juice into it.
  6. Let it boil for about 8-10minutes.in medium flame.
  7. Then add the mawa paste, cashew nuts and cardamom powder into it.
  8. Then cook it for sometime till it gathers to the middle of the pan by continuously stirring it.
  9. Switch off the flame and let it be slightly cool down.
  10. Make small roll like shapes of it by greasing your hand with ghee.
  11. Then roll them on chopped almond and pistachios .
  12. Your "Mehbooba-e-tamatar" are now ready to serve.
