Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. vermicelli 1 cup
  2. Oil 2 table spoons
  3. Lemon Juice 4 table spoons
  4. Salt according to taste
  5. Sugar 1 pinch
  6. Red chilies 2
  7. Green chilies 1 sliced 
  8. Ginger chopped finely 1 table spoon
  9. Curry leaves few
  10. Black gram 1 table spoon
  11. Chana dal 1 tablespoon
  12. Cashew nuts few
  13. Groundnuts few
  14. asafoetida 2 pinches
  15. Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take a pan add 1 teaspoon of oil , and fry vermicelli until it turns light golden brown , now add about 1.5 cups of water and let cook until vermicelli is done or becomes transparent. 
  2. In a separate pan add oil and tempering , when sputters ,transfer into a bowl . 
  3. Now toss in some salt, sugar and mix in the vermicelli along with the tempering .
  4. Splash in some lime juice and give it a final toss . Serve hot or cold .
