ABOUT Nankhatai RECIPE

A short bread biscuit that melt in the mouth with the rich aroma of cardamom.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cup all purpose flour
  2. 1/4 cup Besan
  3. 2Tbsp rava
  4. 1/2 cup clarified butter(ghee)
  5. 3/4cup Sugar
  6. 1tsp Cardamom powder
  7. Few drops rose essence(optional)
  8. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  9. chopped nuts for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix ghee and sugar .Beat till fluffy.
  2. Add all other ingredients except nuts.
  3. Make a tight dough.If required add 2 Tbsp of milk.Make small balls and lightly press them.Make cross marking and garnish with nuts and place them on greased plate and bake at 160 degree centigrade in a preheated oven for about 8 minutes.Cool and fill in air tight container and enjoy.
