About Poha Pulao Recipe

Poha Pulao is a simple and tasty recipe prepared with flattened rice and vegetables. You can use any kind of vegetable you want.

Poha Pulao

Ingredients to make Poha Pulao

  • Poha 1 cup
  • 1 beaten egg
  • cashew nuts a handful
  • raisins a handful
  • peanut a handful
  • grated carrot 1 cup
  • chopped onion 1 cup
  • chopped green chilli
  • salt as per taste
  • sugar as per taste
  • garam masala powder 1 teaspoon
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • white oil 4 tablespoon
  • ghee 2 tablespoon
  • water as needed
  • cumin seed one teaspoon

How to make Poha Pulao

  1. First soak poha for 5 minutes.
  2. now drain the water and let Poha dry.
  3. in a kadai heat white oil and fry the beaten egg.
  4. scramble the egg and remove from oil.
  5. Add ghee in excess oil. Temper with cumin seed.
  6. as the seeds splatter add carrots and onion.
  7. Saute until Brown.
  8. now add cashew, peanut, Raisin and green chilli.
  9. again Saute for 2 minutes.
  10. now add salt, sugar, garam masala powder and turmeric powder.
  11. Sprinkle some water to cook the masala very well.
  12. after this add poha.
  13. mix very well and and fried egg.
  14. again mix mix mix.
  15. now turn off the flame and cover for 2 minutes.
  16. Serve hot with ring of onion.

My Tip:

soaking time depends on the quality of poha. So please check poha while soaking.
