Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup jowar flour
  2. 1/2 cup methi leaves
  3. 1 onion
  4. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  5. 1/2 tsp carrom seeds
  6. Salt,to taste
  7. Water,as required
  8. Ghee or oil,for shallow frying


  1. Chop methi leaves and onion.
  2. Add flour, salt,black pepper powder and carrom seeds in a bowl.
  3. Add chopped methi and onion.
  4. Make a dough with lukewarm water.
  5. Put a cling film on rolling board .
  6. Take a medium size ball of dough .
  7. Shape it into a parnatha with wet fingers.
  8. Heat the tawa.
  9. Shallow fry the parantha both sides with ghee or oil till brown.
  10. Serve hot with curd or pickle.
