A simple vegetarian recipe with protein packed paneer and flavourful capsicum

Paneer shimla mirch

Ingredients to make Paneer shimla mirch

  • 2 capsicum
  • 100gm paneer
  • 1 potato
  • 1 small onion.
  • 1 tomato pureed
  • 2 chillies chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi

How to make Paneer shimla mirch

  1. Cut capsicum into rings
  2. Dice the potatoes, dip in water. And cut paneer into cubes.
  3. In a pan. Heat oil. Add cumin seeds. Add onion. Saute till soft. Now add chillies, ginger garlic paste. Cook well.
  4. Add tomato paste. Cook till fat separates. Add turmeric powder, salt , chilli powder and diced potatoes.
  5. Cover and cook for 5 min. On low flame. Add paneer. Mix well and cook covered till potatoes are soft.
  6. Add capsicum rings. Mix well. Cook for 5 more minutes. Add kasuri methi and garam masala.
  7. Cook for 2 minutes. Serve hot
