I am very proud of this dish because I made it for the first time and it turned out just perfect. Just exactly like my mom's dish.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Shimla mirch/ Capsicum about 12
  2. Mutton minced about 400gm
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Garam masala 1 tbsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
  6. Deghi mirch powder 1 tbsp
  7. Ginger-Garlic paste 1 tbsp, freshly made
  8. Oil or ghee 2 tbsp for the mince filling
  9. Extra 1 tbsp oil to saute the shimla mirch
  10. Coriander leaves finely chopped, a handful
  11. Coriander and Cumin powder 1 tsp each
  12. Onions about 2, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil. Saute the ginger-garlic paste and the onions together.
  2. Then add the minced mutton and saute it for a while. Next add all the ingredients as well.
  3. Cover and simmer on a low flame for 10 to 15 mins. Garnish it with coriander.
  4. Saute the shimla mirch in a tbsp of oil for 2 mins after cutting off the top portion and removing the seeds.
  5. Then fill the shimla mirch pieces with the cooked qeema or minced mutton and serve them hot with rice or naan.
