ABOUT Qeema Lal Mirch RECIPE

Its my own varriant of Qeema which is now a regular main dish in our daily menu.Red Peppers are not really very hot and gives tangy spicy aroma .Do try this simple additiin in your regular Qeema dish.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 500 gms mutton Qeema
  2. 250 gms finely chopped onions
  3. 250 gms finely chopped tomatoes
  4. 50 gms thick curd.
  5. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 2 tsp coriander powder
  7. 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
  8. 1 tb sp garlic paste
  9. 1 tsp ginger paste
  10. Half cup oil
  11. 1/2 tsp gram masala powder
  12. 1/2 tsp coarsely ground zebra
  13. 10-12 fresh red jalapeno


  1. In a pressure cooker heat oil.
  2. Add chopped onions and fry till light golden.
  3. Add mutton mince and fry till it changes its colour.
  4. Add ginger and garlic paste.
  5. Add finely chopped tomatoes.
  6. Add turmeric,coriander powder,salt and chilli powder .
  7. Add curd and stir well.
  8. Add half cup water and pressure cook for 8 mins.
  9. When mince is tender reduce its water till it leaves out oil
  10. Now in separate frying pan add little oil and fry red jalapeno cut either in broad circles or broad stips discard seeds.
  11. When red jalapenos are tender add 1 tsp coarsely ground cumin and 1/2 tsp of garam masala.
  12. Add red jalapeno over mince and mix
  13. Dish out and serve with hot chapatis.
