ABOUT Jhatpat Chicken RECIPE

A basic and simple chicken recipe which every beginner should try.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken 500 gms
  2. Curd 1 cup
  3. Red chilly powder 1 tsp
  4. Lemon juice 2 tsp
  5. Onion 1 no
  6. Tomatoes 2 small
  7. Capsicum 1 large
  8. Tandoori masala 1 1/2 tsp
  9. ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  10. Roasted cumin powder 1/2 tsp
  11. Chopped garlic 1 tsp
  12. salt as per taste
  13. oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken with red chilli powder, salt and lemon juice for about 15 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile cut the capsicum and tomatoes in cubes, also cut the onion in cubes and separate the petals.
  3. In a large bowl, take the curd, add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, cumin powder, tandoori masala powder and salt, mix it nicely.
  4. Then add all the veggies and mix well.
  5. To this add the marinated chicken and let it rest for around 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a pan, to this add chopped garlic and the marinated chicken with all the masala and veggies.
  7. Saute for a few minutes on high and then lower the flame and cook until the chicken is done.
