Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Yam-1 cup, chopped
  2. Boiled channadal-1 cup
  3. Salt- To taste
  4. Oil-1/2 cup
  5. Fennel seeds-1 tsp
  6. Onion -1,finely chopped
  7. Ginger-1 tsp, finely chopped
  8. Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
  9. Cinnamon powder-1/4 tsp
  10. Cumin powder -1/2 tsp
  11. Red chilli powder-1 tsp
  12. Coriander powder-1 tsp
  13. Lemon juice -1 tbsp
  14. Roasted gram flour-1/3 cup
  15. Coriander leaves-2 tbsp


  1. Cook the Yam in enough water and drained the water completely. Then Mash it lightly.
  2. In a kadai add 1tsp oil,temper with fennel seeds. Add the chopped onion. Saute it Well.
  3. Then add Boiled channadal, mashed Yam. Mix it Well.mixture should be little moisture. Switch off the flame.
  4. Once it cooled down completely grind To a fine paste.
  5. Place them in a bowl, then add the all ingredients except oil.mix well.
  6. Grease your Hand with oil,take a lemon sized ball just flat them or roll into a cyclindrical shape.I just make them flat shape.
  7. Heat oil in a kadai, place the kebab.
  8. Cook them on both sides until it turns golden brown.
  9. Serve them hot with green chutney or sweet chutney.
