ABOUT Tomato Rasam RECIPE

This is one dish which can be consumed as a hot drink in winters like soup, or with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Tomatoes 4
  2. 1 small piece of Tamarind
  3. Methi dana 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  6. Garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Bhuna jeera powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Curry leaves few
  9. Salt
  10. Oil 1 teaspoon
  11. Hing pinch
  12. Chopped Coriander leaves 2 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Blend the tomatoes to puree along with tamarind.
  2. 2. In a vessel add oil. Add hing, rai , methi dana , curry leaves and crushed garlic.
  3. 3. Add tomatoes , add bhuna jeera powder and black pepper powder and add sufficient amount of water and take a boil.
  4. 4. Add degi red chilli powder for colour. Simmer and boil till you get the aroma.
  5. Add coriander leaves and serve hot.
