ABOUT Paneer methi malai matar RECIPE

This is so yummy recipe. It can be easily prepared during winter season as there is lots of fresh methi leaves and green peas are available in market.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer -250 gm
  2. Fresh methi leaves-1.5 cup
  3. Green peas-1/2 cup
  4. Fresh cream-1/4 cup
  5. Cashew paste-1/2 cup
  6. Tomato puree-1/2 cup
  7. 1/4 tsp asafoetida
  8. Oil-2 tsp
  9. Butter-2 tsp
  10. Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  11. Cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  12. Dhania powder-1/2 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  14. Chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  15. Ginger chilli paste-1 tsp
  16. Salt as per required
  17. Garam masala powder-1/4 tsp
  18. Oil for dip frying the paneer
  19. Chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Cut paneer into small pieces and dip fry them in oil and keep them aside.
  2. Blance the methi leaves ,wash and chop and boil them in water for sometimes.
  3. In a pan put oil in it and then add butter and cumin seeds.
  4. Then add the ginger green chilli paste and cook it for 1 minute.
  5. Add the tomato puree in it. Then add cumin powder,dhania powder,salt, turmeric powder,chilli powder and salt in it.
  6. Then add the cashew paste and mix it well and cook for a while and then add the green peas in it and cover it for sometime.
  7. Then add the methi leaves along with the fried paneers and mix it well and also cook it for 5 minute and cover a lid.
  8. After 5 minute add the fresh cream and mix it well and cook for another 2 -3 minutes.
  9. Then add some chopped coriander leaves and switch off the flame.
  10. Your paneer methi malai matar is now ready to serve .
  11. Serve hot with chapati or naan.
