Simple butter dosa with masala and chutney

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. BATTER
  2. Idli rice 1/2 cup
  3. Regular rice 100 grms
  4. Urad dal 50 grms
  5. Methi seeds 2 pinches
  6. Poha 2 tbsp
  7. Water 1.5 cups
  8. Salt 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Take the idli rice,rice and urad dal along with methi seeds and wash it.
  2. Add 1.5 cups of water to the rice and lentil mix add the poha too
  3. Cover and soak everything for 3 to 4 hrs
  4. PRRPARE THE BATTER
  5. Drain the water and grind the lentils to a fine paste adding 2/3 rd to 3/4 cup of water
  6. Keep grinding for sometime till u feel.your blender jar has heated up
  7. Grind in two to three batches
  8. Remove in a big ppt add salt and cover and let it ferment for 10 to 12 hrs
  9. You will see the batter had doubled in size
  10. Mix the batter well and adjust the water consistency
  11. PREPARING DOSA
  12. Take a non stick pan and pour a laddle ful of batter and spread immediately into a big circle
  13. Pour melted butter and cook till golden and crispy
  14. Remove and immediately make a cone and serve with potato masala and chutney
